New series! Examine the post and see if these images are sufficiently readable to provide value. As you can see by using the link to the Harpers Weekly archive the reproduction provided is greatly reduced from the original, which I figure must be about the same in size as a Life Magazine. I print the pages at 175% of the displayed size and then reassemble the articles in a smaller size, hoping to wind up with text that is large enough and still clear enough to read. I used a template measuring 5X7.25 to assemble the images. I can go still smaller if that would help but that would increase the number of images and time required to prepare each edition. Im still leaving out some of the text because it is in a font even smaller than what I kept. In this way I have prepared all the editions for January through March. Each original issue has 16 pages. I will post 12 or 13 of them, approximately, omitting only the extra small font text and a few ads. Maybe some of you reading this can visit the archive site and figure out a superior method to present the magazine. I downloaded and saved the 1.57M pdf file and work from that.
