The first half of Tide-Tigers III hasnt lived up to the first two installments that saw Alabama and Clemson trade national championship victories with a composite score of 76-75 Alabama. Instead, its been a Nick Saban kind of football game, as the Crimson Tide leads 10-3 at the break in the Sugar Bowl.
Alabama completely dominated the first quarter. After the teams exchanged three three-and-outs to open the game, the Tide opened the scoring with a 10-play, 47-yard drive capped by a 24-yard Andy Pappanastos field goal. Alabama forced another Clemson three-and-out on the Tigers next possession Clemsons third of the first quarter Alabama started at the Clemson 46-yard line and leaned on its running game, with seven plays covering 34 yards, all of them in the hands of Jalen Hurts, Damien Harris or Bo Scarborough before Hurts found Calvin Ridley wide open on a scramble for a 12-yard touchdown grab, putting the Tide up 10-0 to close the first quarter.
Sensing a now-or-never moment, Clemson turned to Kelly Bryant. After a 7-yard sack to open the drive, Bryant converted with runs of five and 20 yards and accounted for 53 of the Tigers 54 yards, setting up a 44-yard Alex Spence field goal to get the defending champions on the board at the 10-minute mark of the second quarter.

There you go.
LOL! But Im really not a sore loser.
I doubt that....
It is not math. It is college football. All that means squat. Teams ebb and flow.
I think UCF is going to get a lot of protest #1 votes from Big Ten area voters.
I’ve watched games for years at that site. After my laptop crashed awhile back, I got a chromebook. Unfortunately, chromebook won’t show the video on the site.
The site is safe if you know how to use it, what not to click on, etc. Otherwise, it might be best to avoid for some folks.
That was discussed today. 13-0
Hurts has played well tonight.
Here, have a beer. Guinness on tap. :^)
OK was tough. Very good team. Deserved to be in the playoff. GA is on a roll. The GA AL game will be a brutal affair. SEC style.
Hurts is to much for them. Clemson could mount a comeback but the time is to short.
Thanks. Rooting big time for GEORGIA over Alabama. Its time.
It’s a game but we do like to see kids giving it their all.
As John Wayne would say “Life is Hard....It’s even Harder.................
I read it hear on FR that UCF was #1 already. I saw it.
The Georgia Oklahoma game was great. Both winners in my opinion. Great, strong physical game. One of those few games where you truly wish both teams could win.
Oh and if your one of the UCF is #1 people then watch the Georgia win and ask how UCF would have held up. Auburn was pitiful in that game.
Impossible to say. I wonder how ALA. would have held up against UCF..............
Well, at least I still have the Bama v Auburn game recorded. Already watched it twice. Oh well, Dabo will rebuild.
I live in AL. Went to Auburn and daughter went to Georgia. I am going to be happy either way but pulling for Bama.
