The first half of Tide-Tigers III hasnt lived up to the first two installments that saw Alabama and Clemson trade national championship victories with a composite score of 76-75 Alabama. Instead, its been a Nick Saban kind of football game, as the Crimson Tide leads 10-3 at the break in the Sugar Bowl.
Alabama completely dominated the first quarter. After the teams exchanged three three-and-outs to open the game, the Tide opened the scoring with a 10-play, 47-yard drive capped by a 24-yard Andy Pappanastos field goal. Alabama forced another Clemson three-and-out on the Tigers next possession Clemsons third of the first quarter Alabama started at the Clemson 46-yard line and leaned on its running game, with seven plays covering 34 yards, all of them in the hands of Jalen Hurts, Damien Harris or Bo Scarborough before Hurts found Calvin Ridley wide open on a scramble for a 12-yard touchdown grab, putting the Tide up 10-0 to close the first quarter.
Sensing a now-or-never moment, Clemson turned to Kelly Bryant. After a 7-yard sack to open the drive, Bryant converted with runs of five and 20 yards and accounted for 53 of the Tigers 54 yards, setting up a 44-yard Alex Spence field goal to get the defending champions on the board at the 10-minute mark of the second quarter.

Alabama looks good, wonder how they would have looked against OSU

The first overtime Rose Bowl game ever.
Etc.
Bama wont lose this one willingly, seriously fired up!!
goatdee.net has it. But chromebook won’t show it if that’s what you have. Also lots of pop-up ads, redirects, so need to be careful.
Yep!
OKLAHOMA forever!
They had a good game. I really enjoyed the back and forth.
Bama, pick six!!
Wish the offense were a little more aggressive, but dang, the defense just scored 24-6. RAMMER JAMMER
If Deshawn Watson hadnt been so eager to go pro we wouldnt be in this position.
Awesome. Looking like a clean sweep for the championship for the SEC.
This is rough for Clemson.
People be bitching about the SEC but this gonna get hard for the Tigers.
iPads Safari browser is a no-go for that site.
If the Tide scores another TD it is over.
What was it, three years ago that the head coach for Georgia, Kirby Smart, was the defensive coordinator for Alabama.
To think that Auburn beat both teams in the Championship Game.
And who beat Auburn today?
That changed last summer when I enrolled my 15YO son in a hoops camp at Gonzaga. Gave her the chance to spend a few days on campus. She saw how the players bonded with my 7YO grandson after camp had finished for the day.
On the final day, 8-9 players sat at a table for over 90 minutes, signing everything put in front of them, taking time to talk to each kid, and posing for hundreds of pictures, smiling the entire time.
Before we left, she spent over an hour in the Zag store, to find the right apparel for family members that didnt make the trip with us.
It was my first time back on campus in 16 years. Its my Fountain of Youth lol.
Yes. Saban has a long legacy of success.
Not true. Clemson has the best recruiting class year over year.
Looks over to me.
Georgia surprised them and me...........
