I have not watched the CROWN, and there is definitely verification for those claims re: Wallis Simpson, hubby/Nazi stuff.
With regard to everything else pertaining to the monarchy though, it is just a TV show at the end of the day. no?
I would imagine that the monarchy is far more boring and yet far more noble (in character) than people may give it credit for...I like how King George is given his due today with regard to how he stepped up his game during WWII after his brother’s abdication.
