After traveling to 3 dozen+ countries you still say, Orientals? It's okay, so long as he prefaces the term with the word "Inscrutable".
Example: Inscrutable Orientals.

I've been to over two dozen countries and I still use the term oriental. The orient is Eastern Asia. Oriental is a perfectly good word. Remember "the Oriental Express." Asia is huge. To call both a Indian and a South Korean "Asian" is confusing. I don't know who started the whole "Oriental is racist," but the term was never racist. People don't use bad terms when IDing things that they like, i.e. oriental rugs, oriental furniture, oriental pottery, etc., etc.... .
