COMMENTARY: Time for the attorney general to turn attention to Democrat scandals
Las Vegas Review Journal ^ | December 30, 2017 - 9:00 pm | Wayne Allen Root

It’s New Year’s Eve. Let’s take a moment to celebrate.

President Donald Trump has turned a horrid Obama economy into a torrid Trump economy. We are experiencing one of the greatest economic turnarounds in history. No one expected a rebound this huge, this quickly. Christmas retail sales just set all-time records. Thank you, President Trump.

The just-passed Trump tax law should accelerate this fabulous “Trump Economic Miracle.” I predict it will be the biggest story of 2018.

President Trump has made enormous strides turning this country around. Now it’s time to close the deal. “Draining the D.C. Swamp” is at the top of my wish list for the new year. Here are a few actions President Trump should take in 2018 to “Make America Great Again.”

One of the reasons why Sessions was appointed AG was because of his hardline stance on immigration!

Border control starts with the Border Patrol, which is under the Department of Homeland Security, not the DOJ.

And what has Sessions really done that a different AG couldn't or wouldn't have on immigration? We all know that tougher stances could have been taken.

Start with sanctuary cities. Where are the indictments of the politicians for breaking US laws, that we were told was an option? Why aren't these states being referred to as the new Confederacy under the Supremacy clause? Sessions is bickering over sending them a few million here or there which isn't amounting to anything meaningful.

And when are the deportations of all the illegals crowding our jails really going to begin? I see all these articles about what a large percentage of our jails they are, yet nothing about the numbers ever going down. Sessions says he can't do anything about it. If he won't deport those of all people, why should I trust he's doing anything about the ones running free?

If the Las Vegas Journal is asking to have Sessions removed, then I think Sessions is about to drop a bomb.

They already have. This sex scandal thing is aimed at people that are separate from the Trump Russian connection or the Clinton computer thing, and is being used to cool the public off as the media and the libs. They are starting to get hammered with being forced to put up or shut up. They are trying to change the subject long enough to break the conservative “roll” going on. It’ll come back.

There is probably too much money coming his direction to turn attention towards the demodummies, they’ll cut him off the payroll if he does.

Thanks for posting.
DOJ and FBI have been stonewalling Nunes for months on lawfully
demanded documents.

Why hasn’t Sessions issued an order of compliance to Rosenstein
and Wray? After all he is THEIR Boss.

Nice non-sequitur. Sessions has been the point man on stopping illegal immigration for years. He is responsible for Trump's MAGA agenda and stopping illegal immigration.

The Deputy Attorney General has far more authority than people assume. It may be his call instead of the AG’s.

Right . . . And Hillary Clinton is a heterosexual, law abiding, church going, harmless, little sweety, grandmotherly, aproned elder.

More likely is, Trump asked his friend Root to pen this, before Trump drops the bomb.

What do you mean it’s his call?

Sessions IS THEIR boss. If compliance is not being met by Rosenstein,
it is Sessions responsibility as their boss to insure compliance is met.
That IS his job.

The thesis that Sessions changed, became timid, is just WRONG.

Everyone will eventually come to understand this when the real investigations, including Mueller’s and others, reach their conclusions.

I don’t think we’ll have to wait too long now.

Read this for yourself:

https://www.justice.gov/jmd/organization-mission-and-functions-manual-attorney-general

...The major functions of the DAG are to:

Exercise all the power and authority of the Attorney General...

Act on behalf of the Attorney General for purposes of authorizing searches and electronic surveillance under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA)...

Act as initial contact with the White House on pending criminal matters...

Be responsible for all DOJ attorney personnel matters...

So Sessions works and reports to Rosenstein?
Yeah right.

Nice non-sequitur.

No it's not, it's dead on. The Border Patrol, and the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), are the two front line organizations responsible for monitoring and controlling incoming immigration. They are both under the direction of the Department of Homeland Security, not the Department of Justice, which is Sessions department. The DOJ is primarily charged with prosecuting the illegal immigrants after being caught. And since Sessions admits that he's not even working to deport those already in jail, what good is just putting more in jail really doing?

Sessions has been the point man on stopping illegal immigration for years.

When he was in the Senate, where he should have stayed. Or if not stayed, at least work to help get a conservative replacement for his Senate seat, which he outrageously and notoriously refused to do, leading to the loss of that seat.

He is responsible for Trump's MAGA agenda...

That statement is outrageous, to any true Trump supporter. And it is a classic example of most of the Sessions' supporter's true feelings - they recognize the obvious fight going on between him and Trump, and they prefer to take the side of Sessions.

Obviously. Sessions supporters are continually twisting themselves into pretzels trying to defend him, but none of it is working. The only one of their arguments that carried any weight was "just you wait" but time is up. Hopefully the Contempt of Congress citations fly on January 4.

Tsk tsk. So many excuses for Sessions. None with any actual data. Just dreams and wishes.

When you really press them, you’ll find that many of them are much more willing to criticize Trump, than to dare question Sessions. One on this thread defending Sessions just claimed that “He is responsible for Trump’s MAGA agenda...” to give you an idea of the disconnect.

Mueller’s Mob is going to drag the investigation out and into the midterms to purposely affect the outcome. We need an AG who will aggressively start investigations into all the Rat corruption to have some hope of counteracting the innuendo Mueller hopes to impart into the midterm. Jeffy Sessions better show this aggression early, like NEXT WEEK! Or he should be removed.

He’s right. 2018 is the time to close the deal, turn the lights on, turn justice loose, and then watch as justice finally has its way tearing through that long list...and all just in time for the 2018 election season! Wahoo!

Thanks to President Trump, voters truly are being “re-educated” and being re-introduced to the demonrat and rino swamp creatures we’ve trusted and depended on election after electiuon, but who’ve never been given proper skepticism and scrutiny.

If the author’s list of crimes is finally exposed to US in full daylight, enough of US will have finally seen enough with our very own eyes, in spite of the one-stream media, to push through our emotions and our media driven cognitive dissonance to vote for a Congress that will Make America Great Again!

It’s in our nature. If we are made to look at what is growing in the swamp and smell its stench, we will be disgusted enough to make the necessary changes. We will demand it!
