Tofu is a blank canvas. Often it is marinated in spices, citrus, sesame oil & soysauce before being cooked or baked. I am a diehard meat eater, but I make tofu over rice & roasted veggies about once a month. Tofu alone is nothing.
Grilled tofu, covered with olive oil, is delicious.

Thanks for reinforcing my point. Every time I’ve seen tofu featured on a cooking show, it involves the marinating process you describe. I’d give your menu a try since I love roasted veggies.
As opposed to grass fed Prime beef that needs absolutely nothing added to it to be simply awesome.
