Oh, Alaskan uses one gate area, can’t remember which one, but she should have only need to move down the terminal a few gates. Unless it was to a different airline.

I believe the commuter version of Alaska Airlines (Horizon Air) uses a lower level gate area. If she was connecting in Portland to Spokane, it would be a relatively short flight. We flew from Portland to Santa Barbara, and it was a smaller plane.

You take an escalator down to the lower level, then you walk outside and go up the stairs to the smaller plane. However, if she was in a wheelchair, I don't know how she would've gotten up the stairs into the plane.
