Republicans are so fricking stupid. Here we have Mueller hanging himself with his own rope and the Stupid Party chimes in.
Someone on TV last week, maybe on Tucker, said that if they get rid of Mueller, they’ll have to appoint someone else, and that someone else will have to appoint a new team, and then they’ll have to start all over.
That’s a touch call.
Rosenstein could call for a review of where they’re at and whether they should go forward.
Something to consider here is that Mueller's indictments to date all involve people and criminal accusations that would be considered part and parcel of "The Swamp" by any objective measure. And by this I mean specifically the illicit foreign lobbying activities of various Swamp denizens like Paul Manafort, Michael Flynn and anyone else who is potentially named in a sealed indictment.
If this is the extent of Mueller's work, then it would be hypocritical for any Trump supporter to suggest there's something underhanded about the whole thing.
I really doubt that Meuller is hanging himself and there is a large percentage of the population who believe that the investigation continues because there is real (or imagined) grounds for it (as stupid as that seems). For that reason alone, it needs to end. Also, the investigation is an unnecessary distraction and expense.
Mueller isn’t paying any attention to media reports, and has the same budget and support from his superiors as ever. He’s continuing to gather as much information and testimony against Trump and his family as he can. If not to impeach him, to be used against him to prevent his re-election. From today as well:
Mueller is reportedly zeroing in on the Trump campaign’s data operation and the RNC

Special counsel Robert Mueller has reportedly begun to question Republican National Committee staffers about the party’s digital work with the Trump campaign last year.
The report indicates that Mueller may be homing in on yet another facet of Russia’s election interference its social media influence campaign and targeted political advertising.
Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner managed the Trump campaign’s data operation and recently hired a crisis public relations firm to handle all press inquiries.
