Sorry....sounds like a publicity stunt to me.I'd be much more impressed if he bought his parents a $40,000 car and paid $310,000 toward their mortgage (if they have one) or put the $310K toward a house for them or improvements on the one they might now have.

And if he did all that quietly.

*Real* charity is done quietly...not like this or like Mark Zuckerberg announcing a one billion dollar donation to some transgender surgery clinic.

A Priest I respect recommends you perform one small act of Charity/kindness/giving each day, and NEVER tell anyone what you did.

Charles Haley was the first NFL player to wear five Super Bowl rings, playing for Dallas and SF.

Charles grew up in tiny Naruna, VA and went to HS at William Campbell HS.
James Madison was the only college to recruit him.

After being drafted by the 49’ers he began taking care of his family.
He quietly purchased land in Naruna and built his parents a nice home which he paid to maintain.

On his frequent visits home he would stop by the local stores and hangouts to check in with old friends and schoolmates.
He would also visit his old HS and college coaches.
He did this quietly, without fanfare or bragging.

Charles never forgot where he came from.
