Media captionPope Francis urged "peace for Jerusalem" Pope Francis has used his traditional Christmas Day message to call for "peace for Jerusalem" and dialogue between Israelis and Palestinians.
Acknowledging "growing tensions" between them, he urged a "negotiated solution... that would allow the peaceful co-existence of two states".
US President Donald Trump recently announced that America recognised Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
The controversial move drew international condemnation.

When will the Pope tell the muzzies to stop their “Kill All the Christians and Jews campaign?”
Peace of Jerusalem
That I pray for.
Sometimes you just have to kill the bastards to get their attnetion
The Vatican has, regrettably, been about 100 years behind events for at least that long
there are already two states in ‘palestine’... Israel and Jordan. look at a map, your Holiness (and Jordan has already taken control of 78 percent of the land, too)
The Papal Handbook seems to have
a chapter on preferred living.
Peace is more important than security.
‘Tis better to live in chains
than take up arms against tyranny.
It’s just so less messy.
My wife and I were able to sit in the seats near the front (got lucky in our arrival timing). Since the Pope was speaking in Italian, I did not know what he said till I got back to the hotel and could read his remarks. Nothing new from him. On the other hand, the venue and pageantry of the event was a treat for us. The Swiss Guard contingent was 30 plus strong and are a disciplined marching team. Glad we went. Merry Christmas!
I pray this evil demon dies today.
I’m not a fan of “peace” when it merely means an absence of war. Make that peace, where neither side initiates or prepares to initiate violence, and I’ll consider it.
Today, we have one side randomly lobbing explosives at the other or strapping them on and self-detonating. Today, we have one side knifing/shooting innocent people from the other side. Today, we have one side digging tunnels to launch surprise attacks against women and children from the other side. Today, we have one side preparing in a variety of other ways to launch attacks against the innocent. In each of those cases, the same side is the aggressor.
