A Kindle biography of Henry Livingston, the author of "The Night Before Christmas" based on statistical analysis by Emeritus Professor Mac Jackson. I'm making it free for the full 5 days they let me. Reviews would be GREATLY appreciated.
From Bartleby's 5 star review: Very nice, concise treatment of the Livingston/Moore authorship question. The author does not hide the fact that she is a Livingston descendant. She is able to marshal a compelling collection of Livingston family archives to tell an engaging story, and then present the facts of the two scientific studies conducted to date on this question. Of course this will not be the last word on the subject, but this makes a fine introduction for anyone looking to dip into the matter for the first time. Very readable and easy to comprehend.
Carlo DeVito sent me the page proofs before publication and I went over it. The most disappointing aspect was that he wanted to go more into the statistical arguments but his publisher refused. The publisher wanted the book to be written at magazine level, and that is what DeVito achieved.
I'm waiting to see if the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation comes out with an article from our interview. I sent him the excerpts from Henry's Revolutionary War diary describing invading Canada. He seemed to have a good sense of humor.
Sorry....investigated it myself...Livingston did NOT write it.
That is one of the weirdest things you’ve ever written. I’ve spent 20 years investigating the matter with two professors, one of immense gravitas, and both conclude Livingston the poet. As did the president of Vassar and a president of Penn studies. But you investigated yourself?
I’d really enjoy seeing that analysis.
