Last Jedi really felt like almost two movies to me. Very long, with a lot of storylines that were chopped up and focused on different characters who hardly had any interaction. They could have easily edited it into “Last Jedi Part 1” and “Last Jedi Part 2”, added in a few more scenes to each and probably had two better movies than the one we got.
The Space Vegas scenes really didn’t seem important and could have been totally dropped anyway. Was just reading that it was suppose to be Finn and Poe going there together instead of Finn and Rose. I like the Finn and Poe interaction and wish these films gave us more of that, instead of keeping all the main characters separate.
What you posted leads me to believe that this movie is a setup for a LOT of different themes in upcoming movies. Imagine a movie creating not one, but multiple sequel threads.
