“just laughed while the president grabbed him in the crotch. That happened. Listen to the tape.”

I think the problem is they honestly believed that President Trump would have either resigned or been impeached and gone by now. Instead he is on the verge of getting one of his major agenda items passed, the economy is booming, Mueller's investigation is sputtering and going nowhere and not even the democrat leadership is seriously considering impeachment.
