As the NFL copes with a ratings slump and ESPN slashes $80 million in salaries after losing 15,000 subscribers a day in October, another major issue facing the league continued to play out in week 15 terrible attendance.
Ravens vs. Browns, Start 2nd Qtr
While many blame the kneeing epidemic of unpatriotic players refusing to stand for the National Anthem which started in the summer 2016 pre-season by former San Francisco 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick, others point to a boring season, cord cutters and broke millennials staying home.
Either way, its ugly. Since most NFL attendance figures are based on tickets distributed as opposed to actual turnstile count, and most NFL ticket sales are to season-ticket holders, its nearly impossible to tell how many people are simply choosing not to attend games for which theyve already bought tickets. Except, pictures dont lie
MetLife Stadium was a ghost town at the end of the first quarter, and 1/2 full as the Philadelphia Eagles and NY Giants headed into the 4th quarter:

First of all, we only got two day games, instead of the three choices we usually get.
We got the Vikings-Bengals blowout (24-0 at halftime) at 10 AM.
Then we got a Seahawks home game at 1:30 PM. Another blow out. Seahawks down 34-0 at halftime against the L.A. Rams!
I'll bet you couldn't find 100 people in Seattle who watched all 8 quarters of those two games.
Well, maybe a couple thousand gamblers and Fantasy Football players watched both games.
A lot of people would have watched the Patriots-Steelers game, but the NFL doesn't allow a competing broadcast when a city's home team is playing.
“Citizen, that stadium was sold out and full. Do not believe your lying eyes.”
The MSM
“No NFL!”
This will flow down hill beyond the advertisers and eventually hit the colleges and even high schools who make real money off their football programs which, in turn, pay for most of the other athletic programs. Without the glory of Pro Ball the kids will turn away from playing.
Without the money football generated you can kiss title IX goodbye. Of course, that is in the process of, “transforming” itself into oblivion. Look what leftism has wrought.
“Yep, even chicken wing sales!”
Good, especially if it drives down prices at the Grocery store. Fricking $1 ea. is what it works out to for fresh Foster Farms Wings in So. Cal. I have a real good Frank’s red hot based grilling sauce recipe for Wings, just wish I could afford to use it more often.
Still to many sitting in those seats. It needs to be totally empty.
Some liberal friends of mine bought $20 tickets near the 50 yard line for that game.
Thank you! (I’m sure it did)
So let’s give the guy in charge of the NFL a few more years. LOL!
What’s an NFL?
NFL Co-Hosting 'Social Justice Workshop' For College Athletes
Note to the NCAA: Allow yourselves to be sucked into this at your peril...
“The XFL will still give you arrogant Anti-American thugs who will simply look down and spit during the National Anthem. But youll get them to stand. Dont give the players a way out.”
Not likely. XFL was built to be the WWE’s version of football. No one lasts with Vince McMahon for more than 5 minutes if they disrespect the anthem.
Unless of course, it’s part of the script, like the Iron Sheik, Sergeant Slaughter’s heel turn, etc., but it’s so over the top you don’t take it seriously.
He’s not going to bring in expensive NFL talent if he does it, it will be arena football type players.
Didn’t Jesse Ventura announce those XFL games?
Yeah, but I think he was not on the first broadcast, I think it was Jerry Lawler originally with Jim Ross and they made a change in the second week.
Bye bye NFL...
Once a P Diddy Squat buys the Panthers then the seats will be filled! Maybe not.
Wonder if they’ll have to resort to using card board people cutouts like they do in the movies to fill Super Bowl seats. I really hope so. Maybe they’ll just give tickets to the homeless, free food & drink included.
Hmm which is the bigger lie. That the stadium was empty when attendance was over 62000 in a stadium with a max capacity of 64000 or that your drunk ass actually walked past the bar. Lolz
