Homeless dogs at shelters in Los Angeles could be put on a vegan diet, but veterinarians are not convinced thats best for the animals.
A rule proposed by TV screenwriter Roger Wolfson in the Los Angeles city council would force all animal shelters in the system to feed dogs completely plant-based vegan meals, the Washington Post reports.
We have to embrace the fact that the raising and killing of animals for food purposes must only be done if we have absolutely no other choice, Wolfson said at the council meeting in November. This is about the long-term survival of every man, woman and child in this room, and all of the people in our lives.

“Wolfson—these names kill me! “
Yeah, Feinstein, Rosenstein, Schumer, Wasserman-Schultz, etc are a riot aren’t they?
Let me see, the so called progressive Left says I am a rube and a fool for believing those things that appear to be designed are in fact made my a Creator.
In the meantime, this same group of individuals proclaim that dogs should eat vegan meals despite the overwhelming evidence that dogs are carnivores.
Yep party of science at work.
Good point. The local no-kill shelter near me only shows 2 genders when listing dogs and cats who are available for adoption. I wonder where the confused dogs and cats go to find a new home...
Don’t you get it? Its not about the dogs at all.
It’s to Save The Planet From Anthropogenic Global Warming.
This is only step 1. Step 2, is to force humans to eat “vegan.”
This is not good for dogs, but really bad for cats of all kinds.
Stupid idea.
There’s a professional sled dog racer I know of who is a vegetarian. His dogs however are the athletes and need the protein only meat provides.
with over 100 dogs at his kennel, he probably buys more meat than any vegetarian in the country.
Some people may have a problem with killing an animal to eat, but I assure you, dogs have no such compunction.
Both coasts, actually. When the little dictator Michael Bloomberg was mayor of NYC, one of the brilliant moves made by his administration was to ban food donations to the homeless unless they met strict nutritional standards because obviously starving was preferable to them eating more fat and sugar than the Bloomberg food nazis deemed acceptable: http://newyork.cbslocal.com/2012/03/19/bloomberg-strikes-again-nyc-bans-food-donations-to-the-homeless/
Wonder if this guy supports abortion?

You guys are ALL Wrong, we should wholeheartedly Support this and greatly expand it to making sure that Only Plant Based food be Allowed anywhere on City Property. In fact maybe it should be a Felony for a Public Employee to consume anything but Plant Based Food.
That's doable. Just plant pork chop trees everywhere and they can pick their food fresh daily.

Because those teeth were made for mashed potatoes.
In the movie, the human db's, except for Raoul's, were sold to a dog food company.
Perhaps he has nightmares of ending up as dog chow?
Present the dogs with a choice between city council members and a bowl of green beans and let them decide what’s for dinner.
Roger needs to be sent to the arctic to tell the polar bears that from now on they are not allowed to eat meat - only veggies..
Unreal! I think this falls under the category of animal abuse. Dogs are meat eaters . . . period!

Let’s hope this “rule” doesn’t pass. It would be outrageous to make these homeless animals suffer due entirely to the insanity of the progressive agenda.
I got two Shepherds, a saddle and a white Shepherd. Love my girls!
Sometimes the saddle Shepherd will eat broccoli.
Buddy of mine used to have a dog, can’t remember what kind, that he would routinely give 2x4 pieces to chew on.
