FULL TITLE: Anger after family of failed suicide bomber complain they were mistreated by law enforcement in the hours following his attack
he family of the would-be suicide bomber who plotted to blow himself up in a Port Authority subway in an ISIS-inspired plot during morning Manhattan rush hour claims they are are 'outraged' by the way they were treated - but they aren't getting much sympathy.
Akayed Ullah, 27, lived with his mother, sister and two brothers in Brooklyn. He built his homemade pipe bomb inside the residence.
But hours after the failed attack, his family said it was outraged by the way it was targeted by law enforcement, including pulling a teenage relative from class and questioning him without a parent, guardian or attorney present.
The family says it expects more from the justice system.
The statement was released on behalf of the family by Albert Fox Cahn, legal director for the Council on American-Islamic Relations in New York.
It read, 'We are heartbroken by the violence that was targeted at our city today, and by the allegations being made against a member of our family.
'But we are also outraged by the behavior of law enforcement officials who have held children as small as four years old out in the cold and who held a teenager out of high school classes to interrogate him without a lawyer, without his parents.
'These are not the sorts of actions that we expect from our justice system, and we have every confidence that our justice system will find the truth behind this attack and that we will, in the end, be able to learn what occurred today.
'Thank you for your time.'

Do these people think Obama is still President or what???
In NYC aren’t police not allowed to interrogate a teenager without a lawyer or parents?
Back to Bung-la-Douche.....
I’m outraged that the entire family has not been arrested and either lined up for prison or on a plane out of the country for good.
Don’t matter for them that law only applies to American citizens.
I guess we are all unhappy ... most Americans dont like our immigrant families trying to kill us once they get all comfy.
“The family says it expects more from the justice system.”
Funny, we got exactly what I expected from thus muz lowlife. Need to kick the whole family out.
chain migration chain deportation
problem solved
They’re accessories to a crime. Good luck with that lawsuit. The family should be deported and CAIR should be labeled a terrorist organization and kicked out too.
What I want to know is when are these people being deported?
Please send them back!
The whole chain!
It matters not. The need to find out if he worked alone was too great and the police intentions were correct.
They are full of entitlement and should all be deported.
Here, plainly, is the enemy of the American people, their Constitution and their liberty:

"Sorry our son tried to blow up a lot of you on your way to work today, but the cops were kinda rude to us after that and we want answers," ex-CIA analyst and radio host Buck Sexton tweeted, mockingly summing up the family statement.
Talk show host Montel Williams tweeted: "This moronic, offensive, morally indefensible statement by CAIR lawyer @CahnLawNY just cost @CAIRNational my support. Im done."
Wrote @SkipTerrio: "The only thing the 'Ullah family" should be saying is, "We are profoundly sorry for unleashing a psychopath into your midst.'"
"Rude? Attempting to murder innocent Americans, while your family and son are privileged guests, entitles you to be handled with kit gloves? REALLY? You haven't anything worthy of sympathy, America wants and deserves the answers," @CindySm92914679 tweeted.
"I dont understand this...the guy tried to kill innocent people with no regard and the family is now upset at some inconveniences?? Would they have felt bad if there were "inconvenient" funerals! #usa this insanity has to stop," Twitter user @RealityBeaker wrote.
Well, diBlasio is STILL mayor. I doubt they know the difference, or where federal/state/city laws converge and/or depart.
I guess if he succeeded in killing a bunch of people they’d still be mad like the Boston Bomber’ mother who wanted America to burn in Hell.
And just like that, it’s “OUR” city and “OUR” justice system.
Another embittered family that can't face the truth.
Still, I've argued for others some of whom I like and some I don't, under our legal system, one is presumed innocent until proven guilty. The presumption is based on English common law and not the constitution if the source I found is reliable.
It's hard to imagine there wouldn't have been at least hints of his ISIS leanings to anyone close.
But Ullah is not a citizen, so I don't know if he is covered by American civil law or how far his constitutional rights might extend. They seem to be treating illegal aliens (Kate Steinle killer) as if they are entitled to the same legal rights as American citizens.
I didn't see the video or photo of it, but evidently they stripped the guy naked, probably justifiably so determine if he was hiding any other explosives or weapons.
