The Simpsons team is looking at how to handle longtime Springfield resident Apu Nahasapeemapetilon after a recent wave of criticism of the controversial Indian character. Notably, Hari Kondabolus documentary The Problem With Apu examined how the character reinforced hurtful cultural stereotypes. But Hank Azaria, who has voiced the character since 1990, has remained quiet publicly about the matter. TMZ recently spoke with Azaria, who said that the documentary was definitely food for thought and could inspire change on the show.
I think the documentary did make some really interesting points, and gave us a lot at The Simpsons to think about and we really are thinking about it, he said.

A: Apply political correctness.
Apu!

About a decade ago someone in Chicago got their panties in a wad over Apu. One of the hosts on WLS started a conversation about it. The Indian population was calling in in droves saying they liked the part and that he did them a service by humanizing them for people unfamiliar with their culture.
Therefore, we must, in total solidarity, and in the name of Apu, boycott the Simpsons! But that, of course, is not nearly enough to cure the underlying disease in America. We must also boycott every single gas station and convenience store in America that employs even just one person of Indian heritage! Anyone with white skin seen entering, leaving, or ordering carry-out food from an Indian restaurant must be fined heavily, as well as chased by masked Antifa members with sticks. We must tear down every single Indian monument and image! Webpages containing photos of the Taj Mahal must be banished from the internet in the US! The flag if India must not be allowed to fly in NYC at the UN, nor should it fly at the Winter Olympics in February!
It is the only way to show our love and admiration for that special Indian Culture and heritage that built this country (rather than the white males who exploited them and pretend that they built it). If you fail to act with us, or if you refuse to comment on this movement in a positive manner, then you are part of the problem, and must be punished as well. Silence equals acceptance, and thus you are a Racist, and thus you must be re-educated, against your will, until you are no longer a threat to Social Justice anymore... one way or another.
(It is scary how close most of the Lunatic Left is to exactly this kind of public declaration.)
They n=made a mistake in naming Lisa an executive producer.
