Josh McCown knew right away.
He knew he was done. Definitely for the rest of Sundays game. Likely for the rest of this season. And possibly for his career, which has spanned more than 15 years and eight different teams.
Thats why, when McCown emerged from the trainers room in the bowels of Sports Authority Field at Mile High after breaking is left hand late in the third quarter of the Jets 23-0 loss to the Broncos, his eyes already were red from the burning of tears.

It is time for him to move on with the next chapter in his life. It’s this:”Lord, I can’t play football anymore. Should I do something else You’d like me to do.” We spend too much time grieving over celebrities. It’s wrong.
Why would this end his career? It’s not that serious an injury. He’s sure to get offers to play next year if he wants to continue playing.
