Hi, JohnnyP. I just sent you Freepmail on this. Not to worry. You just ejected the drive, not trashed it. Restarting your computer will remount it if its an external that is still plugged in. Or you can go to the GO Menu from the Desktop (make sure you click someone on the Desktop) and click on the GO and then select UTILITIES and then Disk Utilities. That will let you remount the missing HD.

You'll get it back with either option.

I don’t think I have a Go utility.

It’s my iMac from 2007 with 10.6.8

In the disk utility, do I click first aid or restore?

I’m pretty sure I don’t want to erase, partition, or RAID it.
