You may well be right. They normally just ignore these or depend on their allies to simply downplay and/or not report them.
I read an article the other day on Corrine Brown's sentencing to five years in jail for corruption...
The discussion linked to an article was from a Jacksonville newspaper, 1,269 words in the article, and nowhere does it mention her party affiliation.
I must say, I was impressed. I didn't know how they could manage that. /s
