Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson: Trump Should Not Get Angry with Protesting Players, Needs to Listen

Movie star and potential 2020 presidential candidate Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, has taken exception with how President Trump has dealt with politically outspoken athletes.

According to “The Rock,” the players just want “to be heard.” advertisement

Johnson told InStyle Magazine, “When the players are kneeling as a last resort, as a desire to be heard, clearly they’re not being heard. It’s an opportunity for our leaders, our president and his staff, to hear them, truly hear them, and not be angry.”

Though, Johnson doesn’t merely confine his criticisms to how Trump has handled anthem-protesting NFL players. The actor and former wrestler also addressed the president’s criticism of NBA star Steph Curry, after the Warriors guard said he didn’t want to visit the White House.

When the players are kneeling as a last resort, as a desire to be heard, clearly they’re not being heard.

I hear the wretched bastards loud and clear. They're screaming "I hate America! I hate white people! I hate YOU, personally!"

So ... they're dead to me.

Hey, nobody has listened to the average, hard-working taxpayer for years. In fact, they've been ridiculed and blamed for everything. The NFL players just need to shut up and play.

Dwayne “The Crock” Johnson. Used to be one of my faves from the musclebound part of our society. But he got into movies and made some million$, and now he’s an authority on everything. The ungrateful jocks chose to protest our FLAG and our NATIONAL ANTHEM. They could protest 1,000 other places, but showed their national hatred, starting with Colon Krappythink; and they all joined in. Krapp on THEM!

Whatta Laff

Watched The Fate of the Furious last night.

One scene shows Dwayne’s daughter’s soccer team doing a goon show on the opposing team...all white girls in pink.

It was so nakedly racist I couldn’t believe it. Used to see it done by Tongan Rugby players against white Kiwi teams.

Thought this guy wasn’t bad.

Guess I was wrong.

“The United States had become a place where entertainers and professional athletes were mistaken for people of importance!” (please read the date this was published)

“But there seems to have been an actual decline in rational thinking. The United States had become a place where entertainers and professional athletes were mistaken for people of importance. They were idolized and treated as leaders; their opinions were sought on everything and they took themselves just as seriously — after all, if an athlete is paid a million or more a year, he knows he is important… so his opinions of foreign affairs and domestic policies must be important, too, even though he proves himself to be both ignorant and subliterate every time he opens his mouth. (Most of his fans were just as ignorant and unlettered; the disease was spreading.)”

They have a forum with the owners, their union......
The article players can also directly access their teams front office.....
They also have the public forum......
On the field in uniform is not the place and kneeling for the National Anthem is definitely wrong.....

What isn’t said is that the BLM NFL player protest is intentionally,in part, a complete and utter rejection of this country and it’s values....

Screw the National Thug League.....

Well,Dwayne....given that all three autopsies showed that "hands up,don't shoot" NEVER happened I have no intention to listen to the message *or* to have anything to do with the NFL.

Is that clear enough for ya?

Surely The Rock is not reading this thread. But just in case he is, here is some free advice.

Dwayne,

Surely you are aware of the fact that you are no great talent, and that your success in show business is entirely due to the fact that people like you. But if you are going to become just another sanctimonious bloviating Hollywood scold, that affection will evaporate like a morning fog. The people on the Left to whom you might ingratiate yourself will not like you any more, and the bulk of the American People have had it up to their necks with unsolicited opinion from ignorant celebrities.

I know that this statement was couched in terms of greater understanding and sticking up for you friends. What you fail to grasp is that half the country if well aware that these protests are not based in reality, not in good faith, and aim only to destroy, not to build. From your perspective, this might not be clear, but it is plenty clear to most of your fan base.

People like you because you have remained above the fray. If you choose to engage in this sort of thing, you will no longer have that going for you.

How about your third grade level, college educated, thugs, stand and listen to the National Anthem? How about that?
Or, why don’t they go play in the Cuban Football League? I’m sure they’d make the same money in a better country.

” There is an unspoken agreement between the players and the fans that the game of football is an escape from worldly concerns like politics.

The players have reneged on that agreement, therefore the agreement no longer stands. “

You put into two sentences the gist of of what is so wrong with today’s NFL.
Others have spent pages and hours trying to get across what you just said so simply.

They should protest somewhere besides during the National Anthem.

Imagine in the Olympic games a team event is won by a country which almost all Americans know to be reprehensible, say Iran. Say the U.S. finishes 2nd and so they’d be on the podium during the ceremony. Say that during the Iranian national anthem all the white players walked off the podium.

The media would go ballistic saying this is the most rude and disrespectful thing they have ever seen. Yet they support the NFL players doing essentially the same thing.
