Gov. Cuomo urged the feds to approve a new $94.4 billion aid package for Puerto Rico as he headed to the storm-ravaged island Saturday to survey the damage from the September hurricane and assess recovery efforts.
The federal government should not only be ashamed of itself for the way it has handled this crisis, but for treating Puerto Ricans as second-class citizens, Cuomo said from a press conference at JFK Airport before boarding a plane to the island.

soon, very soon. I cannot WAIT to leave this jackwagon in my rear view mirror. He is the worst.
He may be popular in NYC, but up here in Western and Central NY he is widely hated. The problem is there are more downstaters than there are of us in upstate.
Apparently making a play for the Puerto Rican leftists now flowing into the states. Hopefully the Puerto Rican patriots like the ones I know will keep the others at bay.

Lease the island to InGen Corporation--perhaps we would get some mega-fauna out of the deal. T-Rex got to eat!
Withold aid until statehood passes. Least they will be paying taxes.
94+ *billion*? If Cuohomo recommends it, screw that!
Puerto Rico’s leaders insulted the president and fought us every inch of the way in our efforts to help them.
Spend it on Kate’s wall! Secure our southwest border, not these ingrates.
I agree with all you just said. I just think it’s idiotic to imply PR is a foreign country. It’s a mismanaged semi-state with serious legal issues.
However I can say that I’ve worked and lived in PR over several years and there are countless hard working patriots fighting down there who need our help.
This is the time to get in, point out what a disaster their admin was and turn the situation around while reforming their government.
Otherwise what is your alternative? Create a border and let US citizens die?
The correct answer for Puerto Rico is to take back Base Ramey and send the 82nd Airborne down there. Put the government under military control. Send in construction battalions to coordinate infrastructure repairs with private contractors. Bond holders of Puerto Rico debt to take a 30 percent haircut with the rest of the debt paid over 40years at 2 percent tax free. Restore the tax advantages for private sector companies that Clintons recinded. That for a start. Also, arrest San Juans mayor for sedition.
Haven’t been through Buffalo since 1974 - is Chippewa Street still all bars/pimps/whores or did they clean it up?

No wonder NYS is $4 bil in the hole, eh?
Pretty cleaned up. Trendy bars now. Or it least was 5 years ago.
