I am optimistic about just that. God times these things accordingly and they’re going to have a glorious church wedding! A spectacle the world needs right now.
Brexit, stagnancy of the monarchy, the craziness of all the “identity” crises going on these days, the avalanche of revelations regarding abuse of women, international injustices, etc...
Her engagement to Harry gets announced and the conversations are already able to shift to a more positive note.
Markle identifies as Protestant and went to a Catholic girls school for most of her life. She has revealed as much about her relationship with God...but I do believe she was chosen and destined for this. :)

My GGGGF was English and I'm proud to say he and his Father (GGGGGF) fought against the crown.
I agree, she will run off like the self-entitled spoiled brat she is and always was, all the while denouncing the entitlement of the redheaded Prince.
"Better" is subjective. His grandfather was always looking for somebody "better" -- more appropriate, more approved of by the family, more upper class -- and ended up making a mess of several lives. Arguably it's a good thing that the younger royals aren't trying to conform to those older patterns. If the kid thinks he can stand spending 50 years with her, good for him.
FYI.... Meghan Markle has previously used her celebrity to back Hillary Clinton, lament Brexit and attack Donald Trump as “misogynistic” and “divisive”.

Meghan is a liberal but a really nice person IRL. People shouldn’t fall into the same nonsense the Left spouts of attacking everyone who has different political views.
Love has nothing to do with a royal marriage. Like all those before her she’s a brood mare. Her job is to turn out an heir to the throne, preferably a male one.
Meghan is going to have to tone down her feminist philosophy if she marries into the Windsor familes. The Queen will not be amused at her making political statements, as the royal family is supposed to be apolitical.
Nowadays, people are trying to alter their biology to adapt it to what's in their heads. It's almost an re-affirmation of those old stereotypes.
The good news is that she was a very bright girl. The bad news may be that she's filled her head with a lot of stuff that she hasn't checked against how things are in the real world.
