Absolutely fascinating research. This is the type of research that needs funding - not the pseudo-science coming out of universities these days.

This kind of work is precisely the sort of thing that simply must be shut down because it leads to racist and supremacist attitudes.

Smart or not smart these people can kiss their grants goodbye: they're clearly not wired in accordance with the requisite establishment guidelines.

I wonder how much we spent to discover that having better brains means that you can think better. Somehow the premise itself is a total waste of money and time. Why do I pay taxes for this crap.

Seriously in what way will this astounding discovery ever make enough money to replace what was spent to discover it? Don’t they realize how hard it is to actually make something that is worth enough money to pay for this waste of time.

It’s like people in Academia think that me working for a living is for the purpose of them and their lifestyles. Isn’t it funny that they drive a BMW and I drive an old pickup truck.

I wish one of them someday would invent something that would actually improve things and make money! Oh well I guess it’s better than the last study on the length of rat genitalia.

Interesting. Thanks for posting. Is another victim group being created to give criminals/socialists an excuse to support/fund?

Check your choices.

Yes.
Human intelligence is the principal economic asset.
Anything that can be done to improve it is going to pay off better than anything else.

Who is “smarter”?

A brain surgeon or a expert craftsman who makes amazing works of art?

Betcha their brains are wired very differently

My daughter needs to be in a study. She has a terrible brain injury from 6 weeks old illness, but she has overcome so much.

She has a 3.9 GPA in statistics in her junior year of college.

I would love to know how her brain did it. Grant it there was lots of work between the 2 of us to rehabilitate her, but she’’s doing much better than lots of kids her age. (Plus she’s conservative.)

Some people with high IQs don’t have an ounce of common sense. That can make all the difference in the world as to how “smart” they are.

That is a pretty low correlation on those graphs.

I wonder what the results would be if they subdivided the various parts of the IQ test and saw if any one of them was more highly correlated to their brain measurements.

The people who remain unable to differentiate between important and insignificant information will still be able to get well paying media jobs.

> The different topological embedding of these regions into the brain network could make it easier for smarter persons to differentiate between important and irrelevant information

I have found, however, that one of the commonalities in creative endeavors I personally consider to be works of pure genius is the artist’s, (or creator’s) ability to take two totally unrelated concepts and merge them into something totally new, with the result not only being “different” but aesthetically pleasing.

Leftists are currently working on a way to damage that part of the brain in pursuit of more democrat voters.
