Humorist and long-time radio host Garrison Keillor, of A Prairie Home Companion fame, says he might have to move out of the country after being ousted from the Minnesota Public Radio for inappropriate behavior.
Keillor, the 75-year-old veteran broadcaster who is married, confirmed his firing on Wednesday, claiming that it stemmed from an incident from years earlier in which he says he accidentally touched an acquaintances bare back while attempting to console her.
Keillor later took to Facebook, bemoaning his downfall after five decades of hard work and lamenting that he was feeling ostracized everywhere he went. The post has since been deleted, but the Minneapolis Star-Tribune got a screenshot of it. [ ]
In an email to MPR on Wednesday referring to the recent spate of sexual harassment allegations against powerful men in politics, entertainment and the news media, Keillor argued that the country was in the grips of a mania.
The comment was made in the context of the sexual misconduct allegations that multiple women have made against Senator Al Franken, a Democrat from Minnesota whom Keillor defended in a newspaper column a day earlier.

Thank you very much! ;)
There are so many people to thank, I don’t know where to begin....
40 years too late....
When I heard that this libtard POS was found to be a stinking pervert, I laughed almost as hard as I’m still laughing at Hitlery Rodass’s election loss. This has been such a great “get your popcorn” month to watch the libtard ba$tards, Franken the election thief, NBC’s swamp drainage, etc., etc., go down like tin ducks at a carnival shooting gallery.
can anyone find a reference to the date, maybe the year, this incident happened?
I hear Thailand is very tolerant of such behavior, Mr. Keillor.
These guys go to work for what is essentially a college radio/TV station operated with government money and become millionaires. Congress should make it so anything created at PBS facilities belongs to PBS and not to individuals. If people don’t like it they don’t have to work there.
Then the right course for Keillor is to fight back à la Roy Moore. But I see no fight coming; the urge to flee on Keillor’s part carries a heavy implication of guilt, mania or no. That seems to tell me that it may be less of a mania and more of poetic justice unfurling.
He can always go to North Korea, The Pyongyang Home Companion...
Well GITMO is kinda east!..... you can join Obama, Hillary, Franken, Lauer, ......etc
More like a womania...
‘I think I have to leave the country’
We’ve heard this from every lefty loon in the country.
He’s dug in like a tick and not going anywhere.
Go! Begone!
I’m not sure what Garrison Keiller did with each of those two women, but I’m sure it was monotonous and went on for far too long.
He says that like it's a bad thing.
They call the wife of a gay man a "beard."
My uncle was married and has two grown daughters. He got a divorce and a boyfriend. He buried one bf of aids and then got another boyfriend.
My mother told us all later own that my uncle had issues and episodes all his life.
Just to instill confidence in our national defense, my uncle was also one of those underground missile fire control officers with one hand on a key in the 1960's.
He won’t leave; all talk.
Hold your horses in your happiness about how what's happening to him is happening if not what's happening itself ... yes I can't stand him either.
But a woman could do the same thing to you and be full of sh*t.
It's good riddance, but if this accusation is all there is to it, and a man denies it, then it's wrong for any man or woman to have this happen over a mere accusation. IF this is all there is to it.
Maybe there are facts beyond what I've read ... but if this is it for the facts ... I'd get a lawyer and start fighting back. Mind you, I can't stand this guy.
LOL GMTA!!!
Ahhhh ha hahahahahahahahaha!
That was a brilliant post! Made me laugh, it did...:)
It seemed to encapsulate liberal men and liberalism all in one single sentence!
