Staffers at The Today Show have expressed their disgust and outrage at Megyn Kelly for her smug, self-aggrandizing display and insensitivity to her distraught colleagues in the wake of Matt Lauer's firing.
Insiders at the show told DailyMail.com that if she had a public comment to make she should have focused on the accuser and the Today team who are devastated by by the allegation surrounding Lauer and his firing, which came late Tuesday night.

I will allow that Lauer probably kept pushing further and further because for some distance, several of his victims thought permitting it would advance their careers.
But I'm sure Rose McGowan wasn't all, "Oh, show me your beautiful penis again, Mr. Weinstein!"

I believe they are afraid she will get the job and that is what their outrage is all about.
Lauer is a creep and a perv, but he was also the King of Morning TV for more than a decade, helping the Today Show generate more than $3 billion in profits. There were a lot of folks at NBC who owed Lauer their careers, including executives, producers, writers, guest bookers, even the studio crew. And when Lauer locked his door for a little afternoon delight with a young female staffer, his allies conveniently looked the other way.
Some of those Lauer sycophants now work on Megyn Kelly’s show, and they won’t miss the opportunity to trash her. Some of them simply don’t like her, since she replaced some of Lauer’s pals in the 9 o’clock hour; the others (mistakenly) believe that Matt will come back to re-claim his throe and when that happens, they will benefit once again.
As a refugee from the media salt mines, I have been predicting Kelly’s early departure from NBC since the day she left Fox News. She’s done almost everything wrong; hosted a magazine show that was simply dreadful; made enemies out of other NBC talent, and engaged in on-air bits that made her look stupid. The viewers are voting with their remotes; ratings are down in her 9 am hour, and they will tumble further without Lauer in the 7-9 timeslot.
Kelly won’t last two years at NBC. My own personal prediction is 18 months (on-air) and the clock is ticking.
Couldn’t happen to a more deserving person.
My first thought when I heard that Matt Lauer got fired was “what did Megyn Kelly have to do with it? She probably encouraged the woman to come forward, like I read she did at Fox.

Yeah, I get Megyn is narcissistic and therefore insensitive, but unless there are dead or bleeding bodies on the floor, you cope with it and get on with your job.

Megan Kelley is going to go the same way Kirin Chetrey (former Fox morning weekends) She will be hosting infomercials in the middle school of the night.
She has aged.
