Not at all! The translation I have by Julia Conway Bondanella and Peter Bondanella (Penguin Books - Cheap) reads far easier than any Federalist Paper. I suspect your students would appreciate the fact that three influential writers (Machiavelli, Algernon Sidney, John Locke) of our pre-revolutionary period didn’t dare publish their later works for fear of persecution.
