Only an odd thing....but no one in the family bothered to call the true-father of the girl missing when the cop report was turned in. He only heard about it when he saw the amber-alert. That would trigger me to ask more questions of the four folks in the house that night.

I live in Jacksonville and the entire city and surrounding areas are praying for Mariah’s safe return. One of my students lives a couple of doors down from the family. He is very “street wise” and he said today that the boyfriend is suspected of being a meth dealer. The gossip going around the neighborhood is that he had something to do with Mariah’s disappearance. I know Sheriff Miller personally and I can assure you that he (along with the FBI) will get to the bottom of this. He retired after a 20 plus year career in the military, so he is not your typical “bumbling county sheriff”!

I strongly suspect the police need to dredge any nearby ponds, or look for freshly turned earth in any nearby woods.
Either mom or the boyfriend killed her by beating her to death in a rage.

Another fact in the case:

Mariah Woods’ family has said that the 3-year-old struggles to get around on her own and wears leg braces for assistance.

It’s made the national news now. I did read where the FBI lab has some evidence in their possession. But so far they are not saying anything.
