From from her unmutilated ears, I take it that she’s had a good, loving home almost since the day she was born or rescued as a fairly young puppy. I have a now 12.7 year old dog who’s half American Staffordshire Terrier who was rescued as a young puppy. I’ve never had his ears mutilated. Unfortunately, with a Pit breed of dog, the mutilated ears usually indicate all sorts of other, far worse, types of abuse.
Good for you and Penny. May you both have long and happy lives together.
I know a little bit of her history, and you are right. Except for a few scars on her face, I don’t think she was ever abused.
I have had her for a year and she’s a treasure.
She’s 7 and a half, so I think we will have a good long time together.
