The fact that she is probably taking one of N Harvard courses (where N is rapidly growing number) that contains the intellectual demands of a 1935 third grade course is of great concern.

Not true. I saw a 'collage' of twitter comments from black women and they were 'not nice'. I also had to laugh when I saw this in the article:
“There is still enormous social pressure on black women to only marry black men—to ‘sustain’ the race and build strong black families,”
Where is the enormous "social pressure" to MARRY (at all, regardless of color) and build "strong black families"??? 70+% of black babies are born out of wedlock - I see no enormous social pressure to even keep their knees together, much less marry .... if any pressure was there, you would have much less of what is going on in the black race - unwed teens, fatherless kids, crime/murder rates through the roof, gangs, the whole 9 yards (ok, didn't mean to do it, but the reference to football is appropriate - National Felon League). Malia Obama is not going to marry within the "typical" black race ... or white. She's the daughter of a former president & like it or not, there are perks, prestige, and 'privilege' that go with the association. She's living in rarified air & she'll attract those who do the same .... Serena is another example of this.
Some kids grow up hating their parents - everything they do is to shame and humiliate them.
You hope they grow out of it, and most do.

My very best friend, from the time we were five years old, is black and he never dated a black woman. He married a wonderful Cuban refugee. He told me years ago that black women were stupid, crazy, and always seemed to denigrate black males.
If she attended Howard instead of Harvard, this wouldn’t be a story.
