You refuse to understand that no measure taken at the time would have resulted in anything but a legal rape as well as sliming and blackballing. Go laugh somewhere else. There are many women on this site who have made the choice to leave rapacious employers and have never recovered financially, even facing old age remembering how they were driven out of gainful employment by egotistical, entiltled, pervert bosses, suppliers or clients. If you have never been in the situation, you can stuff your sneering at the people who have.

There were some victims who were raped and never had any choice of anything. But some of Weinstein’s victims had a choice: submit to my sexual demands or give up your career.
It sounds like Uma is as furious at herself as at Harvey. She probably wasn’t raped outright; she probably was one of the many who were told by others, You put up with him a little and he will make you an international movie star. But I don’t know. His behavior was monstrous either way.

There is more to life than money. I’m not the only GUY who has had to choose between knuckling under to an illegal/immoral demand and pissing off someone who could ruin my ‘career’ - and like many others, I’ve NEVER regretted standing up. I may have been punished - been in a fight I was going to lose, or passed over for promotion or face retaliation of another sort - but I’ve NEVER regretted it.
I believe in God, Albion Wilde. I’ve never regretted following Him. I’ve lost money, jobs, and my butt kicked, but I’ve never regretted following Him.
How nice that you are so morally superior that no one has ever tried to rape you and you do not have PTSD from it.
I doubt anyone tried to rape Uma, and I doubt she has PTSD.
And yeah, if facing rape, I think a woman SHOULD fight - if possible. And call the cops, either way!
