My mistake I thought those were continents on the surface of the hemisphere and not clouds. I wonder how thick “flat earther’s” think the world is and is it uniform thickness?

My insurance agent told me, “NO! You can’t buy a huge life insurance policy on Mike Hughes. He is a registered retard”.

There was a time when people like this were called "exhibitionists."

If they became too extreme, or dangerous to themselves or others, they could be confined involuntarily in an asylum.

Bonneville Salt flats, the cars drop below the horizon.
About six feet at three miles.

“A California man intends to launch himself 1,800 feet high on Saturday in a home-built rocket to prove that astronauts faked the shape of the Earth.”

I’d be much easier (and safer) to just drive up to the top of Pikes Peak.

That is easily explained: what you’re seeing is a slight rise in the distance that always keeps the same distance from you, no matter how fast you go. /sarc

I wonder if any of the Vegas books are taking bets on this. I’d be willing to put a few bucks on the only thing coming out flat will be this guy.

Or, rent a Cessna 150...

The first time I was ever on the sidelines of a football field, in this case at Texas stadium, I was surprised at high a crown the field had. I couldn’t see anything below the waste of people on the opposite side.

If his rocket is truly steam-driven, I don’t think he’ll get more than ten feet from his launch pad.

"I’d be much easier (and safer) to just drive up to the top of Pikes Peak."

But not nearly as much fun. It's people like this that make the world go round... errr... go flat?

Then I’m counting on the rocket squishing him!

It shouldn't take a rocket flight to understand that the Earth most be a sphere, but whatever. As long as his stunt doesn't get someone else killed, it's his life and his money - spend or end them however he sees fit.
