That is easily explained: what you’re seeing is a slight rise in the distance that always keeps the same distance from you, no matter how fast you go. /sarc
The first time I was ever on the sidelines of a football field, in this case at Texas stadium, I was surprised at high a crown the field had. I couldn’t see anything below the waste of people on the opposite side.
