Attractive women who are otherwise empty vessels are not “marrying material” as far as smart men are concerned.
“What else you got?” is hard to put tactfully, but is a very good question for parents to ask their daughters long before dating is even an issue. Of course neither boys nor girls *start* by having other assets, so it is a long process to discover and develop *useful* things like smarts, common sense, physical prowess, talent, independence, wit, character and other things.
But nothing so focuses smart men on a woman than her demonstrating not only is she not empty, but has useful and valuable skills beyond her looks.
And truthfully, it doesn’t take a genius to figure out that looks don’t last. Also that someone who abuses themselves with food, drink, drugs, smoke, and sexual license and other bad habits is going to burn out quickly, so are not good long term investments.
