I would think that once a woman gets to know a guy, she sees past the appearance to his qualities.
Additionally, any person can improve his or her appearance with good posture, tidy clothes, and attention to grooming.
Men and women are very different. A girl's physical appearance is very important to guys. Appearance doesn't count as much for women. There are exceptions, yes. I've dated some guys who weren't very attractive - but I never realized it until later when we were no longer dating. ;-)
I seen LOTS of fugly guys that have the attractive women hanging on their arms!
