No way is Penn State the #10 team in the country...
ROLL TIDE!
Mercer? Mercer?. Why is such a powerhouse such Bama playing such a patsy such as Mercer this late in the season.?
Fox Sports is now doing a weekend playoff roundtable with their analysts, broadcasters, producers, etc. 4 of 6 picked Oklahoma to win it all.
With that defense???
Why? Because the potential for NO Big Ten or Pac 12 teams in the playoff reduces college football to a regional sport, and that substantially cuts the ratings for the playoff and championship games.
As you know, the schedules are drawn up in advance, but I don't know why they'd play Mercer, PERIOD. Talk about a mismatch!
We shall see. :-)
BOOMER
It was Mercer that wanted to play Alabama. They get a nice payday when they play them.
I predict Auburn will beat Alabama. Then Malzahn will tell Auburn “Bye-bye” and head to Arkansas.
Doing the usual “ Shoot, we’re not listed, but neither are THEY, so it’s ok,” Michigan State fan upon hearing that Michigan isn’t in the top 10. Yeah, those darn wolverines, 300 Spartans showed up and chased them off! Lol!
Wisconsin should be in the top four. If you lost 1 game get behind them.
I think it was 650,000.
Q: Wouldn’t it make more sense to let the regular season games play out, then crunch all the numbers/stats at the end to see which team belongs where?

You new to following football? Alabama plays an SEC West schedule so there should be no complaints. The also played out of conference FSU when they were considered a Top 5 team.
Auburn played Mercer this year too. You can go down any team’s schedule and you’ll find they’ve all played a few cupcakes.
Good scheduling. Bama and Auburn both normally schedule a lesser opponent before the annual Iron Bowl. They can use most of two weeks preparing for the IB and also provide the needed big payday for smaller programs.
Yep, and a big butt-whoopin' to go along with the payday. :-)
No way is any BIG (10+4) team worthy of top ten status.
