I got a CMP 1903 Springfield and an M-1 Garrand in the same shipment. When I opened it up and got them out they looked a little rough with cosmoline and my wife immediately said, “Old, old, old”. I guess she thought my new weapons would be new.

I have got a 1903, M1917, Garand and M1 carbine from CMP and been pleased with all of them.

I would consider one of these 1911’s but would have to assume it would need a new barrel, extractor, springs etc... As they all pretty much would be worn out. So out $500 off the bat plus another couple hundred, don’t know when I can get a functioning 1911 at that price and new.
