Never seen “Ironman” and wouldn’t know who Downey is if s/he knocked my block off. The only real Holmes was Basil Rathbone, of course.

Whoopie isn’t offensive to me, but her only acting I’ve watched is on “Star Trek The Next Generation”.

The Flint movies are fun (if you’re talking about the James Coborn flicks). Of the movies you cited the only one I’ve seen is “Bev Hills Cop”. Eddie Murphy made some good comedies, “Trading Places” with Dan Akyroyd was great fun.

The 70s were good for one variety of humor I enjoy - the Monty Python and Mel Brooks type.

Love Basil Rathbone. Just got Pursuit to Algiers on a FR rec. Not a purist. I love the colorized versions, too. I loved Whoopie in Next Gen, as I did the man who played Q.

Yes, James Coburn. LOVED him. And the villain was the phone company!!! Also loved Eddie Murphy.

Mel Brooks is amazing. Young Frankenstein. Support Your Local Sheriff. Hold onto those movies before he’s banned for non-pc!
