Love Basil Rathbone. Just got Pursuit to Algiers on a FR rec. Not a purist. I love the colorized versions, too. I loved Whoopie in Next Gen, as I did the man who played Q.

Yes, James Coburn. LOVED him. And the villain was the phone company!!! Also loved Eddie Murphy.

Mel Brooks is amazing. Young Frankenstein. Support Your Local Sheriff. Hold onto those movies before he’s banned for non-pc!

Colorized films are no problem, if I want to see the original I set the color saturation setting down to zero!

Rathbone and Nigel Bruce worked perfectly off each other. John de Lancie was an interesting character as Q, especially as the character developed. If TNG has just not had that annoying Wesley kid it could have been a lot better.

And Gila Golan in one of the Flint films was a nice plus, she’s a lovely creature.

Mel Brooks and quite a few other filmmakers could never make the films they made in the 70s today. A pity, since a lot of it - especially Brooks output - was more of the laugh at yourself/self-deprecating humor than anything else, such as in Blazing Saddles; the only competent character was Black Bart, the Sheriff.
