Puerto Ricans have been fleeing the island at a rate of 2,000 a day, a huge hit to the hurricane-ravaged island, according to Florida Gov. Rick Scott.

I understand the politics on the island, but I also believe that a rising tide raises all ships. One of the best things that can happen for our culture is a vibrant economy because more people “getting by” will see the opportunity to “get ahead” and join it. There will always be an entrenched impoverished class and the politics that support it are ugly in our nation, but I have hopes for my fellow citizens from PR. Some of the best soldiers I had the honor of serving with were from PR so lets hope that kind of attitude wins out. I know they can do it.
You might know of one place, but I can’t think of anyplace where mass immigration has helped the Republican party, in recent history.
An example of why democracy is the worst system except for all the others. Some people will repeatedly vote their community toward poverty and destruction, never once considering a change in direction. Then they move elsewhere and do the same like locusts. Puerto Rico and Detroit are two examples.
What style is that? The ones that are going to Florida were, more than likely, living in something below, Section 8 housing. Which in some cases, is pretty damn good, depending on your landlord or the age of the apartment complex you live in.
Some will see opportunities that they didn’t have on the island and run with them. And good for them if they do. The others will still have their hand out and vote for whoever their community organizer, think Luis Gutierrez, tells them to.

How could a president stop citizens from moving from one part of the United States to another part of the United States?
And I’d be willing to bet that the ones that aren’t, are still there, rebuilding and seeking out opportunities to bring the island back, better than before. They’re seeking opportunities to make money and build and open new businesses and give the island a chance to grow to its fullest potential, instead of being one big rock, of Section 8.
Yep, in PRs case, it’s “Addition by Subtraction.”

Why is this a “hit” to the economy of PR?
The phenomenon may be many things but it isn’t any kind of hit to PR. It isn’t any kind of anything to PR.
I can’t blame them for coming here - I would too. Half the island is still without power.

Either way, however you want to define immigration, my statement still stands correct. Look at how the “northern immigrants” are changing areas of the South.
Whether they come from another country, commonwealth or state, they’re still immigrants.

I’m thinking there’s some cheap real estate in Puerto Rico. Think we’ll head down and see what we can find. I’d love to turn it red.
But the point is you need a healthy, thriving, growing economy to be able to support that kind of welfare spending.
Socialism will kill the goose providing the golden eggs. If the recipients are willing to settle for dross, there’s no prob. But I bet they’re not. If so, they should vote accordingly.
Gee, you give up easy. When Trump creates an economy that gets them jobs who do you think they will vote for?

At this time, about 70% are guaranteed Rat voters. With some leadership, not Dem or RINO pandering, I think you can beat that number down into the 50s or lower.
People respond to leadership vs. pandering. We’ve witnessed decades of pandering. Dems have mastered the “art” of pandering. We won’t win against that. The RINOs refuse to give leadership a shot since they obviously want to ride the coattails of Dem pandering and give their idiot, sickening donors cheap labor.
I’m hoping Trump can kicks these lazy, pandering congresscritters to the curb and promotes leadership and individualism so that we can start driving these obscene percentages more to our liking :-).
