This business of calling a political opponent ‘moron’, ‘intellect of a kindergartener’ etc. gets pretty old. GW Bush was a moron. But really, can morons fly fighter jets? Doesn’t make him a great President, but he can’t be a moron. Same with President Trump. How many moron billionaires are there that seem be able to succeed at business? How many political beginner morons take on and beat the practically anointed and nearly universally praised “most qualified candidate for President in the history of the country?”
Throughout my career as a CPA, I have run into many professionals who thought I was clueless when in fact I knew the subjects at hand better than they did. It was their arrogance and lack of desire on my part to take the time to educate them on my understanding of the subject that led them to false conclusions. While they were focused on what to me was obvious, I was focused on the next steps and the implications. I also liked adversaries to underestimate me.
I expect that if there is any truth to these statements about Trumps understanding of issues, Trump is letting them believe that he is missing the points they are making and is simply on the next steps.
