Wow! Nice place you have there.
Got room in the basement? I may be looking for a new place to live soon. :)

Double paned.
You wouldn't enjoy my lack of housekeeping.
I can't draw without being smudgy, so the house is my form of being an artist. It's sort of like standing in the middle of a sculpture instead of creating something you stand in front of. Took about two years to do. Really hard educating the crew that it wasn't doors and windows, it was horizontals and verticals. Lots of inventing, which was incredible fun.
They swore you could only paint poplar, but I found the most incredible pieces in the back of the wood bins, so I worked out a way to keep the grain and to get a good color on them. Drove all around the area searching out strange colors and patterns. Got the crews to slice the best boards down the 3/4 middle so we had 1.5/4 boards. Then we'd glue junk up to make up the full 3/4. Where I needed to cover the joins, we used walnut. Not expensive when you're just using it for decorative edges. Couldn't find closet doors 10' high so we built them and numbered all the boards like a jigsaw puzzle. I'd work into the middle of the night finishing the wood in this bare room. I still have a basement room filled with finished poplar we didn't use.

The bathroom was iridescent glass with a nightlight sink cabinet built into a 1900s griffin trimmed fireplace mantle and storage being an 1830 high relief corner cabinet.
For some strange reason, husband won't let me loose on any more construction projects. So I'm forced back to music videos.
