The Board of Supervisors voted Tuesday to pay California Panther Security $450,000 annually over the next two years to have unarmed security guards open and close gates along the trail and report trespassers to the Sheriffs Department,

what a waste of money. why cant it be an assigned duty at the police department for any car patrolling the area or given to the city park’s departments as an assigned duty. this says political pay off to me. another option put it up as a bid contract. I bet that one of the home security companies can do it for 10,000 a year or even less.
