Notre Dame embarrassed themselves into oblivion. We all know that they are pushed by media well beyond their real capability. They usually have to play at least one good football team per year and down they go every year. This was hard to watch. “Oh the humanity.”

Kind of reminds me of when I was in high school. I went to a private school, but we played against all the public schools. When I was there, we were not very good at football (they have since won a couple of state championships), and we had a cheer when the other side would taunt us.
That's all right, that's OK - you're going to work for us someday!

Amazing that people make such idiotic comments below the article thinking that the stadium is in beautiful Coral Gables and that the students are thugs. It’s a private university and not at all easy to get into.
There’s a BIG difference between the location of the gorgeous University of Miami campus in Coral Gables and the stadium in Miami Gardens, where the Dolphins also play.
Unfortunately, the University of Miami does not have a football stadium on campus. It’s in Miami Gardens, 28 miles away from their campus. The atmosphere is quite different.

The fight was certainly more entertaining that the football game was.
To: drewh
That was more of a drunken *itch-slap session than a fight, I expected something a little different from the headline.

Why do the sports channels push Notra Dame football so hard? Every year they get a pre season top 10 and very rarely live up to anywhere close. Why? I don’t get it.
Disclaimer: I’m an SEC fan but if they are thugs, I will root against any team. So often rooting against coaches in the SEC wkho can’t control a team.
