Just looking at the region on google earth. There’s a massive dam connected to the massive, polluted lake Darbandikhan nearby.
When your building materials are mud bricks, pressed earth and in more modern times unreinforced concrete blocks, lots of quakes are going to be devastating. I used to tell my students, earthquakes kill by dropping heavy things on you.
Im stocked up on liquor if we ave to have a drinking game!
