This is definitely a great idea!

This is definitely a great idea!

Think for a minute. You want federal bureaucrats to decide what is a valid religion and what isn't?

Nothing could possibly go wrong with that concept, even under a Democratic administration, right?

Islam should have no tax exempt status.

The HuffPost and The Hill, two hardcore Dem media organs, are selling a story.

Bah.

Fine with a lot of reasonable people if the Scientologists lost heir tax-exempt “religious” status.

10% pure, flat income tax.

15% pure, flat corporate/business/self-employment tax.

No deductions, loopholes, credits, or anything.

Everybody pays the same rate.

Tax revenues would skyrocket.

$200-$400 billion wasted on tax compliance and on attorneys would vanish.

I believe it would be a huge mistake for the President to weigh in on this matter in any way, but I wholeheartedly support the idea of revoking the Church of Scientology’s tax exempt status.

I have experience with that organization, and know for a fact that it’s a despicable, mind controlling cult, that robs its members of their souls, their families, their dreams, their money, and their lives.

Scientology is a total fraud. it only started calling itself a “religion” (which it isn’t) to gain that tax-exempt status. The whole fantasy was concocted by third-rate science fiction author L. Ron Hubbard. It’s all about money.

This cult should never have received it in the first place.

Yes, and investigate why the Clinton administration reinstituted their tax-exempt status after the FBI went after them in the 1980s.

Illegalities going on should really be handled in civil courts.

Plus, where the heck is Mrs. Mscavage?

Is she locked up somewhere? If so, then she needs to be released.

Is she dead?

We deserve to have proof one way or the other.

I can make an argument that Islam is an ideology more then a religion and a direct violation of our constitution.
I also believe it can hold up in court.

Scientology I can't use the same argument.

Agree - and feel sorry for those that have trouble distinguishing between a religion and cult. It’s really not that hard.

The ACLU is orders of magnitude more dangerous than Scientology and should have had its tax status yanked Jan 21. If Trump wants to keep his eye on the ball, it should be the correct ball.

Larry Noble apparently didn’t pay attention to the last administration and its behaviour.

LRH was a drunk and a lech....at a minimum

Current leadership is beyond abusive.

Scientology may be many things but I suspect SCOTUS would not uphold such a revocation. Would love it if it could be done

Whoops... there goes another special interest group.

Hillary will be talking to them about the fascist Trump government.

According to the web, there’s about 25,000 in the US. In a way, I’m surprised the number is that low, because they punch well above their weight in Hollywood. A surprising number of actors buy into it.

Its the crap like this that makes people frustrated with The Donald. If you worked for a large corporation and you found out that the President, CEO and Chairman of the Board was looking at the individual files of a small company and spending any time on it, you would question whether or not they were micro managing.

Trump must be a bear to work for.
