I think you are 100% correct.

The Dems and the hand wringers are out in force telling us how everything Trump is now dead because of New Jersey and Virginia, both of which are blue states.

I live in Virginia and have some big concerns because we now have the House of Delegates tied and I am concerned about what may happen to Second Amendment rights but I do believe the national scene is totally different. If we, as conservatives, keep up our interest and vote in force like 2016 we will at least keep the seats of the retiring GOPe scum and make sure the replacements are real conservatives. That will create a huge sea change in Congress.

I have been reading the threads here on FR about the elections two days ago and also this idiotic Roy Moore non-scandal and there are a handful of FR posters that are either trying to sow seeds of worry and discontent or try to deflect and change the conversation on a thread. I am positive these people are plants. Three of them are new (1 2016, 2 2017) and a couple have been around quite awhile but from what I have seen of their posts they seem to like to bring people down.

I am not saying that leavening hopes that are too high is not a good thing but even here on FR we have to remain engaged and have hope so we can move out and actually do something when the next elections come.

Trying to depress folks so they don’t vote, donate, or help get out the vote because they have the idea that all is lost is the M.O. of plants who are paid or volunteer to do just that.
