I wonder if there is a correlation between more LGB whatever’s joining a show and the shows declining ratings? It is a strange phenomenon that whenever something that goes against the moral fiber of this country is introduced it fails miserably. I can’t figure it out.

There was a time when I used to think conservatives who got rid of their TVs were a little off the rails. Now I’m with them. Although we still have 3 TVs in our home, one is never turned on, one is tuned to Fox News for a couple of hours a night, and the one in my room is on only for major breaking news and occasionally to watch TCM or classic TV series. TV is now truly a vast wasteland, boring, trite, way overly politically correct, no talent trash.

It appears they are now inserting bi-racial couples in over half of commercials, and it also appears bi-racial couples are the “thing” to push now in TV shows.

I’m tired of this lefty agenda being forced on us. Tired of it.

Stop the obligatory homosexual couple/bi-racial couple that adds nothing to the story-line.

Actually they are over represented. They make up two percent but show six percent. That’s three times more.

If a show isn’t morally repellent, then it’s boring. Frequently, though, its both.

The last non NFL TV I watched was Millionaire and Weakest Link...15-20 years ago [.]

What a coincidence! The last show I watched was also The Millionaire. Wish they would have finally let us see who John Beresford Tipton, Jr. (voiced by Paul Frees) really was.

Remember the beginning of each show?

My name is Michael Anthony, and until his death just a few years ago, I was the executive secretary to the late John Beresford Tipton, Jr. John Beresford Tipton, a fabulously wealthy and fascinating man, whose many hobbies included his habit of giving away one million dollars, tax free, each week — to persons he had never even met.

Regards,

That's probably just coincidence, like the NFL ratings plunge due to the Olympics, election, and hurricanes . . . which had nothing to do with players showing disrespect for our anthem, our flag, our country, our military, and our ancestors.

Can we have a true-life t.v. drama of a group of queers who hang out at a highway rest stop?

The only gay characters I ever saw portrayed negatively were on Orange is the New Black. But they also had several who were portrayed positively including a transgender character.

I think it has more to do with many shows being remakes, or just plain bad storytelling. If you have bad writing for the plot, you can’t replace it with diversity.
