That’s what one party left wing rule looks like. Guy is an anti police communist embarrassment but it doesn’t matter.

In the western part of NY, the GOP didn't do too badly from what I am seeing so far. These are local races, of course, but WNY isn't exactly a GOP stronghold. Overall, looks like the day was a mixed bag nationally, but Dems will be a bit more energized for now.

You know, it's amazing how so many people outside of NYC can pontificate about how NYC gets what it deserves, when this nation elected Obama twice.
There are about 5 million registered voters in NYC, and yet Comrade de Blasio won about 670k of the 1.1 million votes counted. That means de Blasio won about 62% of the 21% of eligible voters casting ballots. That's hardly a mandate.
Hard as it may seem, there are many good people of virtue and morals living and working in NYC. There is lots of good stuff in NYC as well. My heart goes out to you, but as usually happens after an election, NYC won't crater. Godspeed.

Apparently DeBlasio lost Staten Island by 40+%. Too bad for Staten Islanders that they can’t secede from DeBlasio’s utopia. It must feel like crossing from West Berlin to East Berlin when they enter Manhattan.
To: EinNYC
That’s incomprehensible. Really thought he’d lose. I feel for ya FReeper.

It’s NYC. There aren’t nearly enough sentient being there to vote for someone worth a damn. They want corruption so they continue to vote left. I’m amazed there are as many normal right wingers as there are there. I bet it’s strictly for work; otherwise they would be gone. At least out to Long Island.
